AMFLOW’S REVOLUTIONARY E-MOUNTAIN BIKE LAUNCH
Amflow, the e-bike brand originating from DJI, has unveiled two groundbreaking electric mountain bike ranges – the PX and PR – designed to redefine the boundaries of performance in the e-MTB sector. These bikes leverage the company’s proprietary Avinox motors, specifically the M2S and M2 drive systems, aiming to eliminate the conventional compromises between power, range, and weight that have long plagued the electric mountain bike market. The core of this innovation lies in the Avinox motor’s density, allowing for exceptionally powerful and responsive performance within a relatively lightweight frame.

ENGINEERING AND FRAME DESIGN: A CUSTOMIZED RIDE
The Amflow PX and PR models are constructed around carbon fiber frames offering an astonishing 40 potential geometric combinations. This level of customization allows riders to meticulously tailor the bike’s geometry to perfectly match their individual riding style and the specific terrain they plan to conquer. The PX, weighing approximately 20kg (44lbs), and the PR, weighing around 22kg (49lbs), are powered by Avinox’s new M2S and M2 drive systems, respectively, capable of delivering up to 1,500W of peak power and 150Nm of torque. This impressive power output is more than sufficient to easily snap chains and shred gear teeth if not managed properly, highlighting the need for careful rider control and strategic power management. The PR model boasts an 800Wh removable battery, providing flexibility for long-distance rides, and offering the option to swap it out for a new battery when needed. Furthermore, a 600Wh battery can be mounted directly onto the frame, enabling a dual-battery configuration for extended range.

FEATURES AND TECHNOLOGY: INTELLIGENT PERFORMANCE
Beyond the powerful motor and customizable frame, the Amflow e-MTBs incorporate several advanced features. The PX and PR models feature an integrated 2-inch OLED touchscreen providing on-board turn-by-turn navigation. Crucially, both bikes integrate Apple Find My functionality (exclusive to the PR models), enhancing security and recovery capabilities. A standout feature is the ability to control pedal assist based on heart rate. Riders can pair a heart rate monitor with the bikes, allowing the motor to automatically adjust the assist level to maintain a specific target heart rate zone, optimizing both performance and cardiovascular health. The Amflow PX Carbon is currently available for purchase in Europe and Australia, with a base price of $7,999 and a Pro model priced at $10,199. The Amflow PR Carbon is slated for release later this year, starting at $4,999.
